THIS FLOOD COVERS THE EARTH

After a long bout with illness, it appears that we are back on our feet. We made some awesome new friends in Las Vegas and Phoenix over our weekend trip with Colossus of Roads (nice job leaving all your shit in our van, ya jerks), thanks to all the rad kids that came out and had fun and let us harass them. The new 7" has been sent out to various distros, you can probably find a copy at your local independent record store within the week, if not, have them order it for you, or snag it online here or here. We're currently rescheduling our northwest dates around our jaunt out to Texas for South By Southwest, playing a few local shows, and figuring out how to be a band again, so more activity will be occurring soon-ish. Throughout the spring, we'll be intermittently recording new songs for the LP set to drop on Dood Records late spring/early summer, as well as for some splits and that sort of thing, so expect to hear more new shit soon, and keep your ears to the ground and your eyes glued to this page for any other applicable information.

Winter tour has been canceled. Trevor and Charlie both have pneumonia. We'll be making up our dates in the Pacific Northwest sometime later this spring, hopefully as soon as February. Sorry to anybody that this bums out, it's really out of our control at this point.

We're probably a little late informing most of you of this, because by now, the word has gotten out, but we recently recorded two new songs with Mike Kamoo at Earthling Studios in San Diego for a new 7" coming out next month. Eric (aka Dood! Records) is putting it out, and our friend Norman did the artwork for it. Honestly, this shit is rad. We're very, very stoked on it.

Unfortunately, the split 7" with Bravo Fucking Bravo has been cancelled due to their recent disbanding, which is a major hit to the punk community at large; if you've never heard Bravo Fucking Bravo before, go give them a spin and have your brain rocked.

Other than that, you also more than likely have seen and heard of our impending west coast trek starting in the final days of December and leading on through the first few weeks of January, which will also be very, very rad. Our good friend Chris Gro is coming along to shill merch and help load equipment, so when you see a funny bald dude talking to you, you now have a name to call him by. For those of you in places outside the Pacific area of the United States, we'll be seeing you later next year around the time the full-length comes out.

We've been home for about a month now. It's been okay. Getting used to going back to jobs and school and that sort of thing is no fun after being out on the road for so long, but hey, it's part of the whole deal. Currently, we've been writing, writing, and writing. Soon, we're going to start writing, writing, and playing some shows where we try out new songs. After that, we're going to start writing, demoing things for recording, and playing more shows where we play more confident versions of those new songs. Basically, if you live outside southern California, don't expect to see us this fall and winter. Sorry dudes. We'll see you next year, though, beginning right in the first week of January.

Floodterns Summer Tour Two Thousand Sick Crew
(l-r: Dylan, Adam, Lowell, Loren, Sean, Travis, Charlie, Eric, Trevor)

We just got home today from our two-month tour of the North American continent with our buddies in Lanterns, and boy, are we tired. Thank you thank you thank you to everyone that we saw along the way, there's a lot of kids in a lot of places that we owe a lot to (especially all the rad kids in Tijuana, Redwood City, Wichita, Duluth, Montreal, Boston, Derry, Greenville, Atlanta, Mobile, Clovis, and, of course, San Diego). We have some shows coming up this fall, including a few weekend trips to the Las Vegas and San Francisco areas. Other than that, we're starting to write for the full-length that's coming out in the Spring of 2007. In addition to that, we also have some interesting news involving some splits and comps and all sorts of fun info. You'll read it here first.
